Abstract
The palace of the Pinelo family in Seville, established by a Genovese clan related to trading with America around 1500, became Pension Don Marcos circa 1885. In order to explore its major transformations, this study reviews municipal registers, building licences, and other documents until its declaration as historic monument in 1954. Besides, unpublished drawing plans for its expropriation in 1964, together with photos and plans of this singular architectural heritage are also provided.
