Abstract
The chapter describes a new methodology for the evaluation of the in situ water tightness in window openings located in the building envelope, as well as the development process carried out for its real application. It is an innovative non-destructive testing procedure that reproduces the effects of rain combined with wind, which is applicable both during the building construction process and in buildings in use. It is a useful tool for tightness analysis in quality control of elements and constructive pathologies that offers verifiable results in the field of habitability evaluation in buildings. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.
