Resumen
In this work, short reinforced concrete beams reinforced with carbon fibre fabrics externally bonded with epoxy resins (CFRP) have been tested in three-point bending. Two types of carbon fibers were used: high modulus of elasticity and high strength. The beams have been evaluated analytically with two different procedures: (i) using a tie rod and tierod model, this procedure would be the indicated one since all regions are in D-zones and, (ii) using the usual bending theory, as if all regions were in B zones. The results obtained allow: (i) check the influence of this type of reinforcement on the standard beams; (ii) compare the results obtained with both types of fibers; (iii) compare the results obtained with the two analytical procedures used for the analysis and; (iv) compare the analytical results with the experimental results.
