Digital photography and infographics as image generation technologies for the documentation, visual expression and social contextualization of the built heritage. A global approach

Abstract

Digital technology currently allows, both photography and computer images, to be equivalent graphic formats in terms of technical resources and evocative values related with the built heritage. Likewise, the balance between reliable surveying, visual expression and social contextualization, as general purposes of these images, has given rise to three basic categories: realistic documentation, post-edited views and reconstructions, and reinterpretation exercises.
