Resumen
Digital technology currently allows, both photography and computer images, to be equivalent graphic formats in terms of technical resources and evocative values related with the built heritage. Likewise, the balance between reliable surveying, visual expression and social contextualization, as general purposes of these images, has given rise to three basic categories: realistic documentation, post-edited views and reconstructions, and reinterpretation exercises. Both approaches are discussed through a brief historical review, as well as some images by contemporary authors. © 2023 Universitat Politecnica de Valencia. All rights reserved.
