Resumen
The construction industry is characterized by low productivity, a low degree of industrialization, the number of companies participating in projects and the need to improve their performance. This problem also affects construction companies in countries such as Kazakhstan. In this work, a construction company from that country has been analyzed, identifying a set of factors related to the implementation of the Last Planner System, barriers and facilitators, as well as the benefits achieved. The study was carried out through a qualitative analysis, using the QDA Miner Lite software, of six semi-structured interviews with technical professionals belonging to the BI Group company. The main facilitator is the involvement of management during the implementation process. Barriers include resistance to change and the need for staff training. Transparency in communication and decision-making has been improved, optimizing coordination with subcontractors and reducing inefficiencies. Better quality control and deadline control have also been achieved, which has minimized errors and delays. These advances have increased the company's operational efficiency and competitiveness. © 2025 by the authors.
