Current status of the university editorial collection ‘Project Management and Engineering’ and the Academic Quality Seal (CEA-APQ)

Abstract

The Academic Publishing Quality Seal (CEA-APQ) emerged in 2017 as a result of collaboration between the Spanish University Publishers Association (UNE), the National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation (ANECA), and the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT), with the aim of recognizing best practices in Spanish academic publishing and promoting the quality of scientific collections. Coinciding with its first call, the editorial project of the “Project Management and Engineering” Collection was initiated, co-published by UCA Publisher and the Spanish Association of Project Management and Engineering (AEIPRO). Since then, recognition of the seal has evolved, covering both editorial projects and individual monographs. Regarding institutional recognition, through the National Commission for the Evaluation of Research Activity (CENAI), having the seal implies an additional quality indicator for scientific publications in the evaluation of six-year research periods. This article aims to show the progress in the editorial project, as well as the current situation in the process of obtaining the seal, which would increase the visibility of research conducted in the field of Project Management and Engineering. © 2025, Asociación Española de Dirección e Ingeniería de Proyectos (AEIPRO).
