Relations from the individual to the group. Three exercises of Architecture Composition

Abstract

This paper presents the analysis of a collaborative project proposed to the University of Alicante students of Architectural Composition 1 and Architectural Composition 4 courses. The project is conceived as a reflection upon the events taking place in the urban space. It aims to encourage students to confront the countless circumstances that happen in this space and that ultimately create it. In this activity different ways of seeing and experiencing four Alicante neighborhoods are shown, from their own individuality to the many relations established among them. These are revealed by using different formats: collage, script or storyboard and short film. It stands out as a process where the real and personal experience of each student is reinforced by the use of the city space.
