| dc.description.abstract | The Alcázar of King Peter is a representative building of Spanish military architecture from the 12th to the 15th century. Built with rammed earth, it has been restored on several occasions, for which reason its restoration required a comprehensive historical and constructive analysis. For this purpose, the materials that make up the rammed earth walls of the keep have been physically and mechanically characterised, which allowed for assessing their condition and establishing guidelines for their proper restoration. © 2018 Taylor & Francis Group, London. | es |
