New Proposal for the Development of Competences and Work of the Contents on the Course of Plastic and Visual Education

In this work, an alternative way of developing the students' ability to express, analyze and create is proposed. This is carried out through a project that makes the students familiar with the visual environment of earlier times and gives them some autonomy to interpret those environments. In that project, manual working skills and the use of ICT's are worked, by manipulating the existing visual information through an innovating proposal that, without missing the subject objectives, focuses on the proper use of audiovisual communication. This work is developed following the three basic axes of the subject: visual language synthesis, environment appreciation and the natural expression process. This project was carried out in a group of 4th grade of Secondary Education, in a school placed in Madrid, and the results were surprising even for those students away from arts understanding.
