Caracterización y alterabilidad de la piedra franca de la catedral de Granada

Abstract

This is the first part of a set of articles in which the stone materials of the Cathedral of Granada heve been profusely studied. In this work, the environmental and subsoil conditions have been described. A study of diverse property of the quarry materials and of the altered stones have been carried out; chemical, hygric, mechanical and porosimetric characteristics have been described. The alteration processes and changes provoked on the materials have been described.
