dc.description.abstractA sensor comprises a track of an electrical conductor, a metallic oxide of metal (M) on the electrical conductor track, a layer of dielectric material that partially covering the electrical conductor track, and a unit for electrical connection, where the metal (M) is a metal having two or more oxidation states, and the reduction potential between the oxidation states varies with the pH, the metal (M) is insoluble species at pH or more than 7, and the metallic oxide is coated with a hydrogel polymer. USE - Sensor for use in device for measuring pH of concrete (all claimed), depth and rate of carbonation of the concrete. ADVANTAGE - The sensor has better detection effect, and better reliability.
