Abstract

The vertiginous change in the current professional reality forces the updating of curricula, including those in engineering higher education. This scenario requires the need to train not only in subject-specific skills, but also in transversal skills such as creativity, entrepreneurship and lifelong learning. The training proposal presented here, developed within the Creativity for Higher Education Engineering Teachers (CHET) European project, offers a knowledge management system (KMS) that facilitates the training of educators to develop creativity among their engineering students. Available in open source, the KMS allows educators to monitor their personal progress as well as the selection of creativity techniques based on various criteria (e.g., available time to apply the technique), with the option of obtaining a certificate of completion. The next step will be to test the effectiveness and impact of this training, both on the trained educators and their students. © 2022 IEEE.
