Resumen
The expressiveness of the elements that are integrated into some facades of the Canarian buildings, also present outside the islands, is part of our historical heritage. These elements belong to an era in which great importance was given to the ornament, either of an eclectic type, or of a modernist style. The treatment of a large number of buildings and their subsequent study in the thesis on which this article is based, has revealed an ornamental unit that I have called «trilineado». A decorative element that evolved by modifying its original design and location. © 2021 Cabildode Gran Canaria.
