Abstract
Flash annealing techniques were used to crystallize locally amorphous materials and to obtain samples that presented alternatively soft and hard zones with application in magnetic labels for security systems. The treatment was performed in argon atmosphere with the samples in total thermal contact with different substances. It was shown that by controlling adequately the local flash annealing, it was possible to obtain materials with different ratios between the first and third harmonic of the induced signal in a detecting coil.
