Resumen
The aim of this work is to determine the stability of the hydrogenerating group in a hydroelectric power plant, from the knowledge of some fundamental parameters of the electric system are considered, such as the rotor time constant, the generator infinite bus angle, and the parameter of the hydRaúlic system, which shows the effects of water hammer. A rigorous mathematical model has been developed, obtaining the expressions of the hydRaúlic power and the generator active power. These are introduced into the equation of the rotating masses, which relates the two systems, obtaining the stability curves for different values of the above mentioned parameters. From the analysis of such curves, it is concluded that plant generators must have the smallest possible rotor time constant and the highest possible generator infinite bus angle.
