Resumen
The objective is to test this theory in the case of formal education which enables the graduate to practice a technical profession, through the selection of "curriculum" by the student. The stated teaching approach is applied in the "Grado en Edificacion" for the practice of the profession of " Arquitecto Tecnico" at the "Escuela Tecnica Superior de Edificacion" of the " Universidad Politecnica de Madrid". The population this study applies to is the entirety of the students matriculated in the course of "Sustainable Construction". The analysis of the students' individual development projects serves to establish relationships between several of the traditional axis of university education, such as the programmed contents, the activities undertaken, the relevance of the students' work as well as their effort and trust and the grades assigned throughout the semester. It is particularly significant that there is direct relationship between the students' involvement in their own development project, the achievement of the course's academic goals and the grades obtained. Ultimately, it is considered an initiative with great potential for development in technological degrees. Consequently, it is worth to take notice of the way to implement this teaching approach.
