This is a fact that the education is changing, and more teachers are getting involved in this changing process leaving behind old teaching methods. This new form of teaching is based on the personalization of learning with the help of digital tools, and on the application of inclusive methodologies that require active and responsible participation of the students. This work presents the flipped classroom methodology as a tool to improve the performance of engineering students. In particular, patterns and benefits of this teaching methodology are presented in the subject of Physics of Installations in the Construction School, where traditionally the results show a high level of fails and through the introduction of the flipped classroom a significant improvement has been noticed. The followed patterns can be exported to other subjects of scientific-technological field that present difficulties for students.
