Sleeping Habits at Adolescence and its Influence on Learning

Abstract
In this work a twofold aim is submitted. On the one hand, a theoretical framework is intended to carry out, based on inquiries and studies, made by several authors, of what the sleep is, which its features are and how it affects learning ability during adolescence. On the other hand, a study on sleeping habits to a teenager's group aged 12 to 13 from a public education centre in situated in Madrid, with a sample of 78 students from 1 degrees E.S.O., comparing our the results obtained to indexed inquiries from the theoretical framework, in order to match its validity. Furthermore, these students' academic records were consulted to check if their amount of sleep was a decisive factor for obtaining better or worse marks.
